WOVEN BY HAND
Each Farella creation takes shape slowly, through skilled hands and processes that preserve the value of time.
To look at a finished piece is to see beyond its surface: to recognise the time, the gestures and, above all, the hands that made it.
TEXTILE STUDIO
In the heart of Capri’s historic centre, Farella’s Textile Studio is housed in a seventeenth-century space that was once part of the Monastery of Santa Teresa.
Today, its rooms are home to around ten traditional handlooms. When the looms are at work, their unmistakable, almost musical rhythm fills the studio and drifts out into the narrow street beyond.
These are tools that need no electricity. They are brought to life by skilled hands and by the repetition of gestures that have been passed down through time.
It is here that Farella’s cashmere stoles slowly take shape. Thread after thread, the gesture is repeated and the fibre is transformed.
